Rain rain go AWAY!

This is what I was saying all weekend! I know we need the rain, but I hate rainy days! Today is so bright and sunny and I love it! Anyway we still had a great weekend. We met with a few couples from Sunday School at a Mexican restaurant. We had a really good time and I hope it becomes our new Friday night group. Saturday we stayed in and cleaned the house. We went through a lot of things and got rid of stuff. We are finding that our house is getting smaller and smaller with the added baby things. That night Nick cooked an amazing meal of fish with an Alfredo sauce with mushrooms and bacon! YUM! Also he made blueberry pancakes for dessert! So good! Sunday we went to church and then back home for a long nap for the whole family. Speaking of naps, Andrews new favorite napping location is on the floor with a pillow and blanket. I love it because he can be in constant view and he sleeps so good! His nights are about the same. He usually goes to sleep around 10 and then back up around 1am and then again around 5. This is going to be really hard when I go back to work because I will not be able to go back to sleep till 8.

We also made this:

It turned out so well. I am wanting to do it again when he turns one.

Andrew is also starting to hold his head up a little, so I put him in his Bumbo seat. He seemed to really like it and played with his new toy. He can't stay in it long right now, but I know it is helping strengthen his neck muscles. Doesn't he look like such a big boy!
Please pray for my cousin Danielle's family. She passed away Saturday morning from a car wreck. She was 35 and has left behind a husband and 4 kids.

Weekend

We had a great weekend!! Friday before heading to La Cabana we had a little photo session. Saturday we went to Anderson first thing that morning. I bought several pairs of pants b\c I still between sizes. UGH! Later that day we went to a couple from Sunday School's house for a cookout. The class is brand new at the church so everyone is still getting to know each other. It was a great night and a hope some friendships grow. Sunday we went to church and then to visit Nick's relative's that are here for the month from Belgium. We then relaxed the rest of the day.

1 month doctor's apt.

Yesterday Andrew had his 1 month doctor's apt. His weight jumped from 7lbs 13 oz, two weeks ago, to 8 lbs 13 oz! I can't believe he gained a whole pound!! He can finally start to wear some of his cute clothes. He is also starting to sleep an hour longer (usually) than normal. I am hoping by the time I go back to work he will only wake up once during the night. Usually I feed him around 9pm and he sleeps to 1 am and then is up around 5am. He is awake a lot more during the day, which I love, but it gets really hard to get anything done. He loves to be held and I love to hold him, so that is what we do most of the day. I am still managing to workout with the 30 Day Shred. I am on day 7 and I am still sore everyday!! Is that normal? I have not lost anymore weight, but can tell in how toned I am, so I will continue. On day 10 I am going to move up to level 2. I am scared! I am just starting to be able to complete all of level 1 without stopping. Well this weekend we are going to a cookout at a couple from Sunday School's house and it should be lots of fun. I am glad we are getting to meet new people! Have a great weekend!

Today Andrew is 1 month old! I cannot believe it has been a month and every moment has been amazing. Being a mother is more wonderful than I could have every expected. Every moment is a blessing that I have with him. He is growing so fast and it makes me sad and happy at the same time. If your a mother you know what I mean. Here are some pictures from our little photo session this morning.

He smiled!! He just started yesterday!

I am going to take his picture with this bear every month to show how much he has grown.

30 Day Shred Day 2

Well I started the 30 Day Shred DVD yesterday and I also did it this morning and it is a workout! It is non-stop, but luckily goes by really fast and I have never sweated so much in only 25 mins. of working out. I can definitely see how this could possibly make you lose 20 lbs in 30 days. My mission is do this workout every day for 30 days. It is difficult to keep up in spots, but I am sure it will get easier. I now have 14 lbs to lose and maybe I will lose a few more!!

Rub a Dub Dub!

Andrew has really started enjoying bath time. At first he whines some, but then just lays back and enjoys. Also Andrew is 3 weeks old today! I can't believe it!!

We are still enjoying our evening strolls with daddy. We have went every evening since Sunday and we will have one more this week before all the rain and cold weather hits. I still have not gotten The 30 Day Shred DVD and I paid for 2 day shipping. We are on day three people! I am down one more pound since my last post so 17 more to go! UGH!

Weekend Fun!

My baby!

I am so glad the weather was nice this weekend and we were able to get out of the house for awhile. Saturday we went to Anderson for a short visit. We ate at Chili's and Andrew slept the entire time. When we got in the car I feed him and changed him before we hit the stores. I thought changing him in the car would be a good idea, but I was WRONG! As I was changing him in Nick's lap he decided to pee on the steering wheel! It is funny now, but not at the time. Anyway we then cleaned up and headed to Old Navy. Since I am in between sizes right now and since Old Navy had jeans for $19 I decided that would be the best place to go. I got one pair of jeans and 2 pairs of capris. Plus they had flip flops 2 for $5! We also got Andrew a really cute outfit for church. It is way to big right now, but maybe by Easter it will fit. We then went to Sam's and bought formula way cheaper than we have found any where. We then headed home and cooked dinner and enjoyed a quiet night at home. Sunday Andrew went to church for the first time! He was a very good boy. He slept through Sunday School and halfway through church. I feed him the second half which worked out just fine. I can't wait till he can join in on all the activities they have for the youth. We then ate lunch at Nick's parents house and then went home to enjoy the day. We went for a walk Sunday evening and Andrew loved the stroller. I thought it would put him to sleep, but he was wide awake the whole time. I will take pictures next time.

If your still reading thanks! ha! I am now 22 lbs down and have 18 more to go before I am at my prepregnancy weight. Yeah do the math, I gained 40 lbs! I gained most in the last month and a lot was from swelling that has still not completely subsided, plus to be honest I ate whatever whenever I wanted to. LOL! As I was reading Kelly's blog I noticed she talked about starting to excerise and using Jillians DVD 30 Day Shred. After reading her comments and comments on Amazon I knew I had to try this. It sounds really hard, but I am willing to try anything.
I ordered it yesterday and it should be here tomorrow. I am going to use the Wii Fit to keep up with my progress and for variety. Wish me lots of luck!

This morning after his 5:30 feeding he crashed beside me in bed and slept so much longer than he does in his bed. Hmm imagine that! Don't worry I had my hand on him and my face right beside his the whole time.

Getting ready for church

Andrew's new favorite spot- laying on the floor on his Boppy!

He loves pulling the pacifier out, but hasn't figured out how to put it back in.

He has also started taking naps in his crib. Doesn't he look so small!?

2 week apt.

Yesterday little Andrew turned 2 weeks old! He is getting so old, okay I am joking, sort of! I took him to the pediatrician today and he went from 7lbs 2 oz at birth to 7lbs 7 oz at one week and now is 7 lbs 13 oz! Wow! He also grew 2 inches from 20 to 22 in one week! He will be taller than me before I know it. Everything looks great and he will go back when he is one month. I also spoke of how wonderful Andrew has been doing at night, well not so much this week. He is eating every 3 hours and it takes him 45 mins to eat, get changed, and go back to sleep. So I am getting up every 2 hours. I am actually not as tired as I thought I would be during the day, but I think it is going to hit me one day. I hear it only gets better. I hope! On a good note Andrew loves to be read to! Being a teacher this is the best news. I have been reading at least once a day and he just lights up when I start reading. I read the same book three times yesterday because he was so into it. Andrew also lost his umbilical cord stump the other day and had his first real bath. I wouldn't say he loved it, but he didn't cry the whole time.

On other news, did you watch the Bachelor! What in the world!!!? I cannot believe he dumped Melissa in front of the world on television. What a jerk?! What did you think?

Snow and Cold

Well it all started out Sunday when we went to my parents for dinner. The weather had been calling for snow, but when you live in Georgia you know that usually always means NO snow. So we drive and start to see some sleet, but again think nothing of it. Then after dinner it begins to snow! What? Yes really snowing! It snowed A LOT! We headed home quickly and watched it as it continued to snow hard for hours. I believe we got around 4 inches and it has been many many years since we have had any. Needless to say I stayed inside with Andrew and watched from the inside of the warm house. Well it was warm until yesterday when the power decided to go out from 9am to 8 pm. At first it was not a big deal, but then it started getting really cold in the house. We headed to Nick's parents house (who live right down the driveway and had power) to stay warm. I wish Andrew would have been big enough to play in the snow because who knows when we will get another.

I stepped out for a quick picture.

This was in our yard. I believe the deer were in shock over this white stuff on the ground.
Duncan loved the snow!
Pictures from the last couple of days.
Duncan getting some tummy time also!

My new hair cut I got a week ago.
