I am at home today with a sick baby. Not that you could tell from the following pictures, but last night and this morning were a different story. He woke up around midnight screaming (he never wakes up screaming) and burning up. I immediately knew something was wrong. I took his temperature and it said 101.3. He was so hot to the touch and wanted to be held. He hardly ever wants to be wrapped in a blanket, but last night he was almost shaking he was so cold. Long story short he slept till 5:00 and I rocked him till we went to the doctors around 10. We then waited in the doctors office for an hour (all the while listening to a screaming baby with a mother who didn’t even know how to hold a baby and one mother who was falling asleep while two-year old ran around)! Finally we went in and Andrew no longer had a temperature, but did have an ear infection. The doctor said his ears did not look terrible, but not normal. Needless to say we are now on a 10 day regimen of antibiotics and lots of love!
The pictures were from after the doctors office. As you can tell he is feeling fine right now. I have a feeling that when the sun goes down we are going to have the fever back. Pray for a speedy recovery!

I finally have a camera, so I can keep this blog updated! I have missed sharing my memories and taking pictures. I can’t to take some more outside pictures of Andrew and with the weather in the mid to upper 70’s this week, I think I will have plenty of opportunities. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

still here! I lost my camera two weeks ago and I didn’t want to post without pictures! Anyway I plan on getting a new camera this weekend. This is the longest I have not taken pictures of Andrew since he was born. I feel like I am missing so much.
We are all doing well here. We are staying busy with work and family life. It feels like there is always something going on and I like it that way. Since the weather has been so nice, Andrew and I have walked everyday this week. He loves being outside and does not make a sound the entire 30 to 45 mins. that we are walking. I am loving this weather!!
This weekend we plan on working in the yard because we have a mess!! There are weeds every where, plants that need to be repotted, and plants that need to be moved or thrown away. I am thinking about purchasing one of these for Andrew to use while we are working outside. I think there will be a lot of time spent outside this summer. Andrew is still loving his swing and we also have a new sandbox that needs sand.
I am so happy with my life right now and I can’t wait for more!! How are you enjoying the wonderful warm weather?

Last Friday was a teacher work day that turned into a furlough day. I had so much to catch up on that I had to go, even if I wasn’t getting paid. I am so glad I went because I go SO much done. I cleaned, graded papers, made lesson plans, and cleaned some more. When you have 35 –10 year olds in your room throughout the day, it can tend to get a little messy. When I was finished I took some pictures to share! Keep in mind that I took these in about 10 secs. because it was beginning to thunder, so I was trying to leave. Hope you enjoy!
This is the front door and two closet doors. The book shelf contains books and dictionaries. The closet door on the left has my job squad and the door right has birthdays and my “Where will good behavior take you?” map.
This is going left in the room. On the right is a storage container for my homeroom students extra supplies. The rolling board contains News and Important Updates. The bulletin board is for good student work.
Continuing left this is the storage and sink area. The bookshelf contains things for math centers.
This is part of the white board and contains the Essential Questions and Standards taught that day.
This is the Guided Math Center (kind of like Guided Reading). Also the the two bulletin boards contain vocabulary and posters from math and science.
Here are my three lovely SLOW student computers. Like my Easter tree? It was a Valentine’s tree also! The bookshelf contains books for me.
This is my desk! This is where the work gets done! LOL! The book shelf beside the window is math games.
This is a view from the front door! Hope you enjoyed the tour!

I can’t wait to take pictures outside this Spring and Summer!! I toke a few test shots after Andrew was swinging the other day. The pictures are the best because the sun was in his face the entire time, but I have an idea of what I want to do next time.

We bought Andrew a swing for his birthday and we just got around to putting it up. He absolutely loves it! He shrills with excitement the entire time!! I just wish the weather would have held out all week for him to enjoy it, but we do have the whole summer. Here are a few pics!

Have you wondered why I haven’t posted about my attempt at losing weight? Well honestly it is because I fell off the wagon. I didn’t completely fall off, but nonetheless I fell. I stopped the Slim Fast plan and started eating sandwiches for lunch and sneaking in 1 or 2 diet cokes and week and not working out near as much as I was. I went from 5 to 6 times down to 2 or 3. I haven’t really gained weight, but I went from losing a pound or two a week to losing none and feeling blah!
So needless to say I am back on and going strong (as of today;) ). I am back on Slim Fast and NO soft drinks or sweet tea. I will be working out every day possible. I really hope I stay encouraged this time and keep at it!

I hope everyone has enjoyed this beautiful weather as much as I have! It has been so nice to see the sun!
Friday we had our usual Mexican dinner out with friends and came home and crashed.
Saturday I went to a friend’s baby shower and then Nick, Andrew, and I went to Commerce. We hadn’t been in over a year, so I was excited!! I got Andrew some cute Spring/Summer clothes at the Carter’s outlet and of course I couldn’t my favorite store in the world: Ann Taylor Loft!! I found some cute shirts and two pairs of pants that fit perfectly. I really don’t know why I shop anywhere else because their clothes always fit me so well. After Commerce we headed over to Nick’s parents and enjoyed a wonderful meal.
Today we skipped out on church because I had quite a but of school work to complete (lesson plans) and laundry. We also hung Andrew’s outside swing he got for his birthday. Pictures to come soon! Also I am going to my parents for supper this evening. Should be loads of fun!!
Here are some pics from the weekend! Of course they are all of Andrew!
