Time for a real update

It is about time I write a real update of my very interesting life. HA! Anyway we are now entering week 4 of this school year. I LOVE all my students! We are having a great year!

Andrew is growing like a weed and finally beginning to eat more. He is still picky, but at least he is eating more than an insect. He is starting to run, walk backwards, and spin around. I guess I have to finally admit to myself that he is no longer a baby. I can see why people start thinking about baby number 2 at this point. I really don’t feel like there is a baby in the house anymore. If I was a stay at home mom, not working on a master’s, and adding on to our house, I would consider it. However pitter pats of new little feet are not in our near future. We have had so many people asking if we are going to trying for number 2, so the answer is no. Not because I don’t want to, but we just have so much going on.

We don’t have too much news to report on the house building front. We are still in the LONG bank processes and I think I see the end nearing! Hopefully by the middle of next week we will be able to get the process moving. I am still so excited, but seeing NO progress is starting to get on my nerves!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Discussion Questions for Chapters 1-10 of The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes

1. What was your first impression of Tim?

At first he seemed like a really good guy, but very mysterious at the same time. It is also strange that he seems to be so in love and interested in a 16 year old girl so quickly.

2. If you were in CeeCee’s position, would you be willing to help your boyfriend in the way that she is willing to help Tim?

I would never consider breaking the law for anyone, but I have to keep remembering that she is 16 and in LOVE. Love can make you do crazy things.

3. Why do you think CeeCee is so eager to please Tim?

I believe the fact that she is a young orphan and feeling love from a male has a lot to do with her trying to please him.

4. Who do you think has it harder? Tim or CeeCee?

CeeCee for sure! She is going to be all alone in a cabin with no help from anyone. Also she has it harder in her life in general. Tim was left with a ton of money and a brother. CeeCee is very alone.

5. What character trait(s) about CeeCee stuck out the most to you in these first ten chapters?

She is very loyal, but to put it bluntly-she is stupid! She is very immature and believes anything anyone tells her.

6. Do you think CeeCee is as mature as she seems?

I guess I just answered this question. She is not mature and does not think for herself.

I have really enjoyed reading this book. I am behind on the readings already, but I will eventually finish!

18 Months

Wow! A year and a half! Please time SLOW DOWN!!

Andrew will turn 18 months on Wednesday, so I am actually early this month.

Weight/Height: He has an appointment in a few weeks, so I will find out then.

Clothes: 18 months, size 4 diapers, and size 5 shoe

Food: He is drinking 2 sippy cups of milk, one in the morning and one before bed. He also drinks about 2 cups of juice mixed with water. He is still a picky eater, but his appetite has increased in the last week. He must be growing!

Motor Skills: Same as last month, but is almost running! Watch out everyone!!

Sleep: Sleeps all night and is down to 1 nap during the day for 1-2 hours each. He goes to bed around 8:00 and sleeps from till 6:00. He sleeps a little later on the weekends. He is a morning person like his dad!

Talking: Constantly talking and saying new words. Some new words that I can think of are: chicken, french fries, turkey, yogurt, shake shake, Tv, Barney, diaper, and trash.

Teeth: 7 and a few more are coming through soon.

Interest: Coloring!! I love to color, so I am happy about this! Still loves outside and running in the sprinklers. He is also starting to help around the house. He will throw something in the trash can! Such a big boy!!

I took these pictures today. I am surprised I got anything good because he did not stop moving! Anyway I thought they turned out great! I even ordered prints for myself and the grandparents.

What a week…

School started back this week and I exhausted! I did have a great week, but it was full. I have a wonderful group of kids this year and I am so looking forward to getting to know all of them.

We were back into our normal routine this week at the Beele house and it felt good. I managed to workout 4 times (so far) this week and I am glad I put effort into doing that. Luckily Yo Gabba Gabba comes on at 5:00, so Andrew is glued to the T.V. for 30 mins. Without that there would be NO WAY I would be able to do that. He is normally crawling over me the whole time.

Nick has family that are staying with his parents this weekend so we are going to eat with them tonight. Other than that I think we are laying low this weekend. My master’s classes start back on Monday night, so I need to make sure I am have everything ready for the week. Below are some pictures from the week. Have a great weekend!
