I want to make this little trash can for my car…I already have the container!
I want to make this for Andrew’s room.
I am in LOVE with this planter!! I already have several clay pots!
Doesn’t this baby look peaceful? Have to make this! (I couldn’t find a link for this)
What are dying to create from Pinterest?

“Lent is a season of soul-searching and repentance. It is a season for reflection and taking stock. Lent originated in the very earliest days of the Church as a preparatory time for Easter, when the faithful rededicated themselves and when converts were instructed in the faith and prepared for baptism. By observing the forty days of Lent, the individual Christian imitates Jesus’ withdrawal into the wilderness for forty days.”
It is that time again…time for reflection and time for sacrifice. This year I am giving up something that I should have given up a LONG time ago. I am giving up soda…for 40 days! I know I can do it and it is sad that it is going to be hard. The fact that I am pregnant has caused me to drink very little caffeine, but I still drinking Sprite and Caffeine Free Diet Coke (still soda!). Soda really is terrible for the body, so more the reason!
Good luck on all of your lent endeavors!
He was in the wilderness for forty days, tempted by Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels waited on him.
Yesterday was a special day for Andrew! He moved up from the nursery to the 3 and 4 year old Sunday School class. He was so excited and did such a great job!
Look at what he made!

Andrew LOVED the race cars!
He even got to go grocery shopping and decorate a birthday cake!
he didn’t care for the wind tunnel, but look who did!
Here he is taking care of a sick puppy…such a good helper!
This was only one level. The top level had a construction zone, dinosaur area, etc. My camera was acting crazy the whole time, so I took pictures with Nick’s camera. I will have to share those later. We got there at 9am and left around 11am. We then went to eat lunch and headed home. We were all a little exhausted and have spent the day resting! If you have small children and live in the area, I highly recommend trying this out!

Looked a little bare right?
Well since I finally picked out a name, I could finish this wall. I bought the initials when Andrew and I went on our little shopping adventure.
I stole this brilliant idea from Pinterest. Why didn’t I think of this?
Here are the letters all painted.
I cut ribbon (2 pieces for each letter) and hot glued it the back. I then created a bow at my desired height.
I LOVE the results!! It is amazing that something so cheap and simple and really make a statement! Now just imagine a pretty white dresser/changing table underneath. I HOPE to find one soon!

I came back, even though I really didn’t want to, at 10:30 when they had time. This sounds simple and not a big deal. However, when you have a 3 year old that already doesn’t want to go into the office and then you have to leave and come back. NOT good! He completely did not understand why we were leaving and then coming back.
So, we drove all the way home (30 mins.) only to basically turn around an hour later. Thank goodness Andrew did great and the doctor (who is a great doctor) made him right and home. He passed all the developmental questions with flying colors (can he dress himself, count to 3, pedal a tricycle, balance on one leg, know his name, age, and that he is a boy). He weighed 29lbs (31st percentile) and 36 inches tall (24th percentile). He also got a flu shot and didn’t even cry! He kept saying, “I’m a Big Boy Mama!”
Abigail’s is on the left and Andrew’s is on the right. Too Cute!
I think I did his in half the time. I used some of the green and white polka dot and light yellow pieces from Abigail’s wreath to tie the two together. I also added the wooden letters…LOVE!

And here is mine!
This is how you do it!
Materials: Gorilla Glue, 2 Clear Mason Jars, Spray Paint and 2 candlestick holders, finials, and round disc
I first spray painted every piece. I did this very quickly because by the time you sand and do the stain you will see no bubbles of paint.
When they are dry give each wooden piece a quick roughing up with sand paper. As you can see in the background I bought the paint from my inspiration, but it didn’t match my kitchen. I am thinking I need to made more for the living room and use the blue!
This was my first time antiquing anything, but it was so simple! I painted on the stain (roughly) and quickly wiped it off with a paper towel. I LOVE the results! I may do this to everything I spray from now on!
Glue everything together and let dry for several hours. I plan on adding another round disc at the bottom because it is a little top heavy.
I added these eggs for Easter. I love the fact that I can screw off the top and change out the décor (ornaments for Christmas, Halloween candy, pumpkins…)
Here are some more inspirational pictures via Pinterest.
I LOVE them all!

This one was for Miss Abigail Kate! She is not even here yet, but already spoiled!
Here was the inspiration from Pinterest. This person used a combination for scrapbook paper and fabric.
Since we are going with an owl theme, I went with that.
I started off with a variety of paper, a white frame, and templates for the owl on a branch. I found the template online and now I can’t seem to find where I got it from. If you google owl template you will see about a million.
I traced each template onto the desired paper. I taped mine on the back of the paper that comes with the frame.
I already had the letters. They are punch out letters that I got many years ago. I think it turned out really cute!

We first went to Target and found some cute things in the dollar spot (pictures to come later), frame for the Pinterest project, canvas storage bins for Andrew and Abigail’s closets ($5!), Andrew a few t-shirts, and myself some Breath Right Strips. Yes you heard that last one right. I have been very congested for over a week. Being pregnant and sleeping is hard enough and now I can’t breath! I literally have been waking up in a panic gasping for air. I hope these help! Anybody used them?
We then headed to Hobby Lobby and got the majority of my stuff. I got fabric (Andrew’s rag wreath and spring wreath), all the parts for the Apothecary Jars, scrapbook paper for the Pinterest Project, and a few odds and ends.
Lastly, we went to Chic-fi-la (I LOVE their employees!). Andrew played for a good 45 mins on the playground and crashed on the way home. He never went back to sleep for his nap, so we headed out to play some more!
Andrew loves his new tractor!
Too cool for School!
We looked at airplanes!
Swung in his new big boy swing!
And of course played guns!
I can’t wait to show you all the projects I am going to be making in the next few days!!
I hope your day was wonderful!
