Hobo Burgers

This recipe came from Nick’s mother and it has become a Sunday staple at our house. I say Sunday because the cooking time is way longer than we would have for a week night meal. The preparation is minimal and requires ingredients that you normally have in your kitchen!

Ground Beef

Steak/Burger seasoning

Salt and Pepper

Each individual (although this could easily be split between two people-it was too much for me) packet is created and placed in aluminum foil. Inside you have a hamburger patty (a little thinker than normal) with seasoning, potatoes, and carrots. On top you place the slice of onion, pat of butter, and salt/pepper on top of everything.

Close the packet and place on cookie sheet to avoid any leakage. We four and have tons of leftovers! Cook at 350-400 for about 1 1/2 hours or until meat is cooked through.

It is so yummy! We usually eat it with Heinz 57 sauce on the side.

I had to share a picture of our little helper! I hope he becomes as good of a cook as his dad!
