Andrew’s Big Boy Room (These pictures were taken in November and it looks almost the same) I am so stumped with his room! We did add some artwork on the red wall of trains, but that is it. I hope to get back to working on this now that Abigail’s room is finished.

Keeping Cool!

The heat is sweeping the nation! We are not alone in Georgia. Almost every state is experiencing record breaking temperatures. Yesterday evening, I took Andrew out to play while I watered some flowers. It was so darn hot that someone wanted to play in the water. I can’t blame him!!

Keeping cool June 2012

I just started using PicMonkey to edit pictures. If you used picnik, before it was sadly taken away, this is very similar. The site is FREE and so much fun! Notice my new look?? I created it on PicMonkey!!

Letter of the week: C, D, and F

So I said yesterday that I have been slacking on the letter of the week activities, but I did manage to complete a few. I skipped letter E because Andrew knows that letter pretty well.
For the letter C, Andrew made a cloud with cotton balls and a car. He LOVED making the cloud!

I told Nick to make a dinosaur with Andrew for the letter D. As you can tell he took me literally! Isn’t it cute!
DSC01424(rev 1)
For the letter F, Andrew glued some goldfish to the letter F. He loves using glue!!

Blog Updates

I want to start by saying tahnk you for all the people that sent me their usernames for yesterday's post!!
I feel like I have several things that I need to update.

Pinterest Project 2012 is still underway! I have been totally slacking, but I will blame it on being pregnant, having a baby, and having a 3 year old. I am sure you will forgive me!
I had to skip April because I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. They do have the one pictured at Wal-Mart, but I am not sure if I want to take up that much space. It is fairly big. I am still working on this!
For May, I said I was going to complete some freezer meals. Nick and I luckily made the time to do this and I am SOOO glad we did. We froze lasagna, ribs, taco meat, spaghetti sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, BBQ, and Shepard’s pie. I am so grateful we did this. We haven’t had to really cook (just heating things up) since Abigail was born. We hope to do this again soon!
For June, I said I was use some recipes to lose the baby weight. Well suppers are usually just normal meals, but I try to eat smaller portions. I also eat very few calories during the day. I am sure this website has some things we can try once the frozen meals and used.
For July, I choose to make a wreath for my door at school. I have already bought the materials, but it will look different from the above wreath. We have a rock and roll theme this year, so I will do something to go with that. It should be FUN!!
Cleaning Schedule:
I am still using this daily and I LOVE it! Well I don’t LOVE cleaning, but I like having a room or two a day. I am cleaning less on the weekends which was the whole point.
Letter of the Day:
Well I HATE that this one has gotten swept under the rug so to speak. We completed letters A, B, and C (didn’t post pictures). I plan on doing more letter projects, but I am not sure I am commit to posting about them. It is hard enough to find the time to complete them. It is even harder to photograph and blog about it. If I have time I will and if I don’t then I won’t. My new philosophy!Smile

My Fitness Pal

I want to begin by saying a BIG thank you to Megan for recommending this awesome website. I am continuing on my journey of losing 15lbs and Megan suggested using the website (they have an app also) to track my eating and work outs. I have done this before with a different website, but this one actually has TONS of food. It has every food I have typed in so far. You can also follow other people and see what they are eating everyday. I was writing down what I ate in a journal, but I was unsure of the calories for a lot of food items. This takes the guess work out of it. I highly recommend it!!

Last week I lost 1lb!! Every pound will be celebrated!!

14 lbs to go!

New Playground

Nick and I have talked about getting Andrew (and of course eventually Abigail) a playground for the back yard. Andrew LOVES playgrounds and it was time it had one of his own. Last weekend we picked up from Toys R Us and it was 20% off!! Nick, and myself when Abigail was sleeping, worked on it almost all weekend. We didn’t have time during the week, so we picked back up with it bright an early Saturday morning. Nick worked alone until Abigail went down for a nap for over 3 hours! I guess she wanted it finished as bad as we did. The playground it FINALLY done! The directions were horrible and just wrong on some parts, but alas it is finished.

The seesaw swing is missing. That is one part that was wrong. Hopefully Nick will figure something out soon.

The side has two stools and a counter.

The back has a ladder and a place for sand underneath.

It even has a chalkboard, flower boxes, and a telephone.

Andrew LOVES it!!

Even with a nice playground, he still loves to just play in the rocks. Boys will be boys!

A weighty issue

Yes I am going to talk about losing weight…AGAIN! After having Abigail I am glad to say I am back at my prepregnancy weight. Honestly it was WAY easier this time around. I was back at 3 1/2 weeks. So why am I talking about losing weight?? Well my prepregnancy weight was about 15lbs more than my ideal weight. So I have more weight to lose…BLAH! I am very happy that I can wear my normal clothes…I was so over maternity clothes (even the comfortable jeans). Now the hard work begins. After getting to my prepreg weight, I have only lost 1 to 2 lbs. The weight just stopped coming off. It is like my body knew the weight I was before, felt content, and STOPPED!

I lost the pregnancy weight by REALLY cutting back on calories, only drinking soda occasionally, not drinking sweet tea, and drinking tons of water. I am also working out some. It is so hard to find the time and when I have the time…well I somehow find something else to do. Smile I really hope to stick to my plan. Having two kids has definitely eliminated the time I have to eat. Maybe that well help!

Some things I plan on doing:

-Working out more often

-Not drinking soda-ever (it really is terrible for you)

-Not eating after dinner-this is my weakness

Any tips or suggestions??

Dining Room Tour

Update: Sorry I forgot to post the paint color!! I had several people ask. The color is Rhine River by Benjamin Moore.

I am joining Kelly at Kelly’s Korner again to give you a tour of my Dining Room. This is my FAVORITE room of our house. Yes it is the most underused room, but still my favorite. The room has lots of windows and the paint color is my favorite. I loved the color so much I used it in Andrew and Abigail’s bathroom also.
The dining room is right off our kitchen. The table is from Haverty’s and the console table was once used in our old living room. I am still trying to find something for the center of the table.

I recently made over this table. You can check it out here and here.

The missing chair is currently being used in our office while we find some time to paint and reupholster another chair.

I love the moldings!!

Notice what is out the window? Yes that is a playground! Nick has only been working on it all last weekend. Hopefully it will be done tomorrow.

Hope you enjoyed the tour!
