Best of Friends

I guess I am going to be a little sentimental tonight. Andrew (and Abigail) has been blessed with two great friends. He has known them since birth and most friends cannot say that! I went through some old blog post and pulled up some pictures. I cannot believe how much they have changed, but still LOVE each other!

These are in no order. They would not move easily.

Abigail 8 Months

Abigail turned 8 months on the 17th, so I am behind again! I have seen a lot of changes this month!

Weight: almost 21lbs and I am not sure about the length

Diaper Size: 3- I see this possibly changing soon.

Clothes: All 12 months and I honestly can see her wearing 18 month shirts soon. So crazy!! She wears a size 3 shoe.

Eating: takes 5 ounces every 3-4 hours, eats baby food 2 to 3 times a day plus either cereal or oatmeal. She loves everything! She eats more and more table foods. I usually give her what we are eating for supper if she can chew it. We found out she loves pickles this month! Her favorites are all her baby food, bread, crackers, fries, beans, rice, puffs, graham crackers, and spaghetti!

She is still taking a sippy cup like a champ! She can give herself a bottle, but would much rather someone else.

Sleeping: We made the big crib transition a month ago and it is going great! I still cannot believe it! Andrew almost never slept in his crib. We follow the same exact routine every night and that seems to help. Bath (7-7:20), bottle (7:20-7:40), lay down (around 7:40- 6 am). She sometimes will wake if she loses her paci, but usually only once and sometimes not at all.

Napping: She takes 2-3 naps a day. They last from 45 mins.-2 hours.

Playing: She loves playing on the floor with Andrew. She especially loves his legos (they are the big ones). She still loves her outdoor swing, the stroller, riding in the car, and banging things together. She loves the bath tub and becomes giddy when we enter the bathroom.

Developmental Milestones: She is scooting all over the place. She has still not mastered going forward, but she is so close! She will get on all fours and rock back and forth. She can go from her stomach to a sitting position and vice versa. She is beginning to show interest in pulling up, but doesn’t quite have the strength.

Talking: I reported weeks ago that she said “Dada.” She said it for a few days and hasn’t said it since. However, she consistently says “hey!” and waves ALL the time! She waves to every person she sees! She will also wave when you tell her bye. She still makes lots of babbling noises and big laughs.

Personality: Her personality has really started to shine this month. She has become very ticklish. She loves attention and if you are not giving it to her she will let you know it! She is such a diva and wants it when she wants it! I do not believe she will ever be a wallflower. She loves to give affection. She loves to hug and have you kiss on her. If she sees me she will automatically put her hands up for me to get her. I can only imagine what she will be like as a toddler! Watch out!

I love these pictures because they really show off her personality!

Valentine’s Tree

When we took down our main Christmas tree, Andrew cried and cried. He kept saying that Christmas was not over! We decided to compromise and leave the upstairs playroom tree up a little longer. Well the tree is still up. So, I decided to turn it into a Valentine’s tree! Why not? I may then change it to Easter, 4th of july, Fall, etc. I added some deco mesh that I originally had a for another purpose. I added construction paper chain link and some coffee filter flowers. No money was spent! I may look at a craft store for some more d├ęcor, but for right now it is done!

Fun Day Off

Being a teacher defiantly has its perks. Having days and sometimes even a week off every month is wonderful! We slept in (a little- my children don’t sleep in!), played and played, went outside for hours, and took some good naps- even Andrew!

Abigail is becoming so mobile, but she gets so frustrated when she tries to go forward and can’t.

I got in as many kisses as possible today.

Abigail was waving at herself on the phone. She waves and says “hey” all the time!

It was quite windy and cold outside, but we had fun!

Abigail and I moved into the garage and Andrew lined up every toy he owns!

I hope everyone had a great day off or a great start to the week!

Weekend Update

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We had a busy one!

Friday we stayed at home and even cooked! We always go out or get something to go on Friday evenings, but we just weren’t up to it. We did have a fun bath time! We always get a  bath around 7:00, I rock Abigail, and put her down. It is my favorite part of the day.

These two are the best of friends. I love seeing them interact. I hate it when people tell me to just wait…they will be fussing before you know it! What if they don’t? I am sure they will at times, but I have high hopes that they will always be there for one another.

Saturday we headed out to do some much needed shopping. We racked up some good deals at Target. We almost did all of our grocery shopping there. We then headed to Five Guys. It was so yummy! Andrew devoured the hot dog and Abigail loves the hamburger meat and fries.

Lastly, we headed to Sam’s for more groceries and formula. Then it was home for some much needed down time, clean the house, and do the laundry.

That evening we went outside for some playtime.

Abigail loved watching the boys play. I can’t wait till she can walk and join in on the fun.

Sunday was the big game! We decided to have some friends over to watch the game.

This is before everyone came over. Andrew was being super silly and Abigail was playing with her favorite new toy!

The Falcons did not win, but it didn’t stop us from having a great time!
