Southern Tradition

It is a southern tradition to eat collard greens and black eyed peas on New Year’s day. The collards are for money and the peas are for luck. I hope I have some of both in 2013!

Abigail loved the collards and peas!! Andrew has to sit beside Abigail!


It was so hard to leave my babies today and head back to work. It was a work day, so I did get A LOT finished!

We sure did.. Greens, BE peas, Mac and cheese and cornbread!! It just wouldn't be New Years Day in the south without it!! Happy New Year!
