Sunday Funday

We have had a laid back day. I like those the best! I went grocery shopping, did some laundry, planned all of our outfits for the week (well not the hubby!), and got bags ready for school/work tomorrow.

I got these at Wal-Mart.  I have been feeling so sluggish lately and thought maybe the vitamins would help. The Apple Pumpkin candle smells divine!  I also picked up this gold and silver headband. Love it!

We did a lot of playing outside in this beautiful weather!

Nick cooked a food for the week on the grill.

Tonight we enjoyed grilled salmon, asparagus, and potato salad. YUM!

Have a great week everyone!

Pink Eye and a Fall Festival

They totally go together, right? Luckily they did not happen at the same time! I guess I will start with the pink eye. In the middle of a work day, I kept feeling like something was in my eye.  I looked in a mirror and nothing.  As the day progressed, my eye got redder and redder. I was thinking it was my contacts. When I was leaving, my right eye was almost swollen shut. HORRIBLE! It hurt so bad! I basically laid with a cold wash cloth the rest of the evening.  Needless to say, I didn’t go to work the next day. I was in a lot of pain! I went to the doctor and they confirmed it was indeed pink eye. I got strong eye drops and basically laid around for 2 days.  IMG_4697IMG_4698

These are some random pictures since my last post.

I am loving bright and colorful polish lately!

Saturday was our school Fall Festival! I ran my station for the first two hours and then these cuties joined me! This is us on the hay ride! I love our school being out in the country!

Abigail was happy, but just not in this picture!

We spent the evening playing while daddy did some hunting. It is actually beginning to look and feel a lot like fall around here.

Fall Entry

I LOVE fall! I have said it over and over. I really wish the weather would start reflecting the season. It is still in the 80’s here. UGH! I am still in the spirit though! We visited Home Depot after church today to buy some pumpkins and mums for the front door area. I really like how it turned out!

Saturday, Abigail dressed up for the Georgia game! She was so cute!

We had a great day today! We always end the day by playing outside. I will miss it when it gets too cold.

Back to work in the morning! I have missed my sweet class!

Fun Day

We received a phone call from Nick's mom this morning and she wanted to meet us for lunch. Sounded perfect! We met at Andrew’s #1 choice, McDonalds!  He really just loves the playground!

They both had a blast and Abigail could even slide on the small slide! She climbed up and slid down dozens of times!

We then walked around our town square to look at the scarecrows! In October, our small town businesses design scarecrows and compete in a contest. They are all so creative and this is just a few!

I was part of the OFFICIAL Scarecrow Committee at the school were I teach! It was so fun to work with some wonderful ladies. We decided on Old McDonald! All the animals are made mainly of different types of cans. I helped make the cute little pigs!

It was a great end to my Fall Break!

Piegon Forge 2013

We just got back from a great Fall vacation in Piegon Forge!  This year my parents came with us and we stayed in a wonderful cabin! I hate that I didn’t take any pictures of the inside. It really was a very nice cabin and even had a home theater! This post will be mainly pictures and little writing! LOL!

The one and only picture I took of the cabin!

Let me back up…This is when we left. Andrew is totally photo bombing!

We made a quick pit stop in Cherokee to eat lunch. We walked down to the river.

We arrived at the cabin and headed out to eat at The Apple Barn. It was so good!

The next day we walked around the different shops at The Old Mill.

The next day we went to Dolly Wood! It was not busy at all! Andrew rode everything that he was able to ride. He really wanted to ride some bigger ones, but he couldn’t because of his height. Poor thing!

Me and Abigail on the train. She loved it!

Andrew was a good big brother and rode the little rides with her.

We had some outdoor playtime at the cabin.

We had dinner and shopped in between. No pictures! Sorry!

We went to a local go-cart park. Andrew rode with daddy and didn’t like it! We were really surprised. Nick said the track was made of wood and really bumpy. He did enjoy all of the small rides that were around the place.

We had a quick lunch at Chic-Fi-La . I had to share Abigail’s cute shirt!

The last day we headed back to Dolly Wood. Andrew rode everything he could several more times. He loved every moment!

We stopped at Gatlinburg for a quick lunch before heading back. It was so fun! Abigail was very fussy all the way back, so we were glad to arrive home!
